This weeks blog is going to cover the inevitable challenges we all get when we first start to try to make healthier choices.  Last week was my first week of my 100 Day Challenge and things went great.  I worked out with Trainer Joel on Monday.  IMG_20160509_083758297_TOP I got one solid week behind me and then the inevitable real world challenge raised its head.  We had a road trip to an Isagenix University In Action event in Vancouver, BC.  No racquetball.  No trainer.  No regular routine.  To that, you add the temptations.  Road side restaurants.  Hotel bars.  Vacation mind set.

So, how did I do?  So far as of this Friday, pretty good.  IMG_20160511_160309462_TOPWe did a 24 hour cleanse on Wednesday on the drive out to Bellingham.  I took a short run with Buffy on Thursday morning.  I had a salad for my one meal on Thursday as we visited a client in BC.  I drank club soda and lemon juice in the bar as we met the Isagenix speakers.  I got up Friday morning and worked out with Buffy at the hotel gym.  I succeeded…. so far.

These conferences are both educational and social.  IMG_20160512_202352755 (2)The social part is where you make the valuable business connections and get the opportunity to speak with people that have already achieved what you are hoping to achieve.  I get the opportunity to pick the minds of millionaires and learn from their experience.  This is valuable and not something to be avoided, I just need to be creative, so I stay on track.

The plan for the rest of the weekend is this.  I am still doing 2 shakes on Friday, but leaving dinner as my one meal of the day.  This allows me to be available for that all important social dinner tonight.  For Saturday we will hit the gym again, though it will be a lot more crowded with a hotel filled of Isagenix people.  I am moving my cheat day from Sunday to Saturday, so I will have a lot more options and latitude.  Sunday we will  be back to two shakes a day.  Monday is a travel day,  so perhaps another cleanse or what ever makes sense.

Here is my point.  If you are committed to your goals, you will find a way to make it happen.  If you are NOT, you will make excuses for yourself.  I am committed to having a better body by August.  How about you?  Want to join me?
