IMG_20160627_083348552In any extended journey to better yourself, you will have setbacks.  I accept this and I expect it.  I will get real here right now, some of my setbacks are due to my own willful choices.  This two week period of my 100 Day Challenge is a good example of that.  I gained nearly 3 pounds, which is the weight going in the wrong direction.

IMG_20160627_083440459Now, I know that is not huge weight gain, but just to confirm the causes, I had my BFI checked again.  My BFI went from 24.2 to 25.0.  This means this weight gain was not me adding more lean muscle.  No, this weight gain was due to hops and barley.  This weight gain was missing training sessions, racquetball and working out.  IMG_20160627_083945570_TOPThis weight gain was life giving me excuses and me embracing them.  This weight gain was a gentle reminder.

I am not depressed or alarmed about this.  I expect it of myself.  I guess I have low (realistic) expectations of myself from time to time.  I am dusting myself off, cutting back on the beer and intending to get back to work.  You see, setbacks will happen. IMG_20160627_084059441_TOP It is not the setback, plateau or lack of support that’s the problem.  The problem is how you respond to that hurdle.  This is a 100 Day CHALLENGE.  I knew the biggest challenge I had to face is ME.  This past two weeks ME won a minor battle, but not the war.  Stay tuned, hopefully things turn around quickly.  I do have Isagenix working on my behalf.  I actually have more faith in Isagenix than I do in ME to accomplish this 100 Day Challenge.

Now that was the bad news, the GREAT news is that my abs are still making great progress.  Check them out at the bottom of this post and give me a word of encouragement.  Just 5 more weeks to go.
