You Are The Gatekeeper For The Family
So, you are looking at your family and you realize you all need to do something. Your kids are chunky, your husband is easily out of breath and you have not worn a two piece bathing suit in a very, very long time. Where do you start? What is the first step? What will save you the money so you can afford our system? I suggest you keep on looking at that person in the mirror. Most of us can not afford to eat every meal out 7 days a week. Most of us eat most of our meals at or from our home. Who buys that food? Is that food really good for you? Is that food making you healthier or sicker?*
You are the Gatekeeper to what your family eats. If you do not buy it, your family can not eat it. If you choose apples, instead of potato chips, that is what they will eat. Your kids do not have their own money. If they are heavy, just start buying better foods. Their metabolism will do the rest. This does not require you to get a degree in nutrition, but you will have to read some labels. If you can not pronounce the ingredients or point to real food they come from, leave it on the shelf. If you look at the calorie count per serving and it is to high, leave it on the shelf. If God did not create it, leave it on the shelf. Leave the treats for special occasions. Go out and buy a cheeseburger, don’t make them at home 5 days a week. A trip to Cold Stone, instead of 2 gallons of ice cream in the freezer will really make a difference. Use these treat times to celebrate your clean eating lifestyle. Make them special family times.
Here is the take away. You can afford our program, if you simply eliminate buying the ‘bad’ food, Starbucks, unbalanced supplements and go out to restaurants fewer times. You do not need more money, you need to reallocate your money to something that will get you the health and fitness results you want. YOU NEED TO DEVELOP A BACKBONE, TO GET RID OF THAT TUMMY.
I really try not be a hypocrite. I am not preaching a lifestyle that is not realistic. I like pizza. I like hoagies. I like wine and beer. Those of you who know me, know this is the truth. I have found if I use our nutritional food products though out the week, I can eat a little naughtier on the weekend, and still lose weight. This is not a program that requires your absolute complete devotion. Of course you will get the best results if you do stick to it 7 days a week, but you will eventually get to the point when you do not need to lose as much weight.
