Sun is out and I am out, outside that is. Just like 90% of North Idahoans, we go outside when the sun shines. So I started my day getting some minor chores done, cleaning the coop, trimming, wacking and mowing the yard and cleaning up after the four leggeds as well (poop happens, way too often if you ask me). In hopes that the promised afternoon ride would happen, I even cleaned the horse trailer tack room, which hadn’t been done in quite awhile (two years in fact).
So Kelly B. calls me at 1:30 and says, let’s do this. I loaded the Poneeh and headed up the road to English Point. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g35478-d2477960-r150360549-English_Point_Recreation_Area-Hayden_Lake_Idaho.html
English Point is a great place for a good training ride for some fresh and green horses, lots of fallen trees, water, mud and three wooden bridges. Perfect for my Poneeh, not green but very fresh since I hadn’t ridden him since October.
My Poneeh was a perfect gentleman and the ride was fun and relaxing. Insert audio here…AWWWW! Just what this Buffy needed. Thank you God for the passion and John for the money!
